Pilot training schools are considered private schools in most areas of Canada and the United States, therefore these schools will be more expensive then most universities or colleges. In pilot training, every future pilot must have a certain amount of flying time before they can get their pilots license. Some of this flying time is obtained through classes and lessons. However this simply does not cover everything you need to do. There are times when you will need to fly outside of class time. Some people make the mistake of thinking that planes will be supplied to them while taking some form of pilot training. This is not the case, however. In most cases students will have to rent their own planes so they can begin getting in their needed flying time. This can be extremely expensive.
