yeah, the 2nd season really showed a bare bones budget & they really had a lot of gaffs, like the whole cold weather thing. The scenes are really fake - they are NOT in cold weather!
Another thing that bugs me - throughout the series, no one ever goes fishing to get food! There is a lake right by town and this river that they worry about being cut off if they loose the “Tacoma” bridge, but no one goes fishing!
I wish the series had continued with a decent budget. A movie version is planned

It was cancelled at the end of season 1 and after protests from fans (including sending 50,000 lbs of peanuts to CBS) they brought it back for a second season. Only problem was they then waited six months to air the second season and then they only aired a shortened series of episodes in a worse time-slot than when it was on the first year. I personally thought the end of the second season was great. But the point is that CBS never cared about this show and they should have.
Didn’t this show get cancelled 2 different times because CBS listened to the fans? I know it did at least one, and the show royally fucked up season 2.
Season 1 is phenominal, but I would have cancelled it after seeing what they did in season 2, too.
Too bad the EMP didnt kill the morons who run CBS. Somebody needs to, because I could run a great network with the great shows that these dipshits cancel. First Jericho, now the Unit…the list goes on and on. All CBS cares about is reality shows. I dont watch their programming anymore, and I suggest you dont either. Let CBS cancel themselves when they have zero ratings.
EMPs have the largest area of affect when air bursted VERY high up, these were probably detonated on the ground so the are affected by the EMP may also be vaporized
